  • Kōkōwai

    Kōkōwai (red ochre) is at the core of our very being. It represents a sacred genealogy that connects us to the earth and to each other.

    Our kōkōwai workshops explore the foundations of Te Ao Māori. Diving deep into the pūrākau of Hineahuone and the storytelling power of red orche.

  • Kākano

    Kakano is a three-day workshop designed to safely guide year 10 students through our local histories and empower them to be active change-makers in our community.

    Kakano engages three art forms (kōkōwai, poetry and printmaking) for students to navigate their local histories and express their vision for the future.

    Kakano encourages students to have empathy and compassion for themselves and their peers as we engage in a lifelong journey of learning.

  • Kahikatea

    Kahikatea is designed for educators to explore a wide range of local histories using the storytelling techniques of our tupuna.

    Kahikatea provides educators with creative tools to navigate our local histories and enrich their own teaching practices.
